December Daily Album 2014

I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and family.  I’ve been pretty busy with the holidays, projects, and work.  But, I have returned on this last day of the 2014 year to share my December Daily album that I’ve finished.  I’m happy with the way it turned out.  Even happier that I got to do one this year.

Just a heads up…to make up for not blogging in quite awhile, this will be a long post. 😉

IMG_4420a

Yep, I used the Magical Studio Calico Handbook that I planned on using for my 2013 December Daily, BUT didn’t get it (along with a few other Christmas supplies I ordered online) until March 2014.  I guess I can laugh about it now but at the time I was pretty upset about it.  Anyway, I couldn’t wait to use it.  I was excited because it was the first time I used this format for my December Daily album and I loved it.  It made the process quicker and easier during the busy holiday season.   I really love the red with trees design all over the cover of the album.  It’s SO pretty!  For this year, I used the Home for Christmas collection by Pebbles most of the time.

In the photo above, I added a cut piece of the Home for Christmas pattern paper to the opening of the front cover. It fit perfectly as my title for this years December Daily album.

In the photo below, I added another cut piece of the Home for Christmas Home for Christmas pattern paper to the side bracket along with some wood veneer letters and numbers by Studio Calico.  I used Q-Tips to dab some white paint onto the letters and some Rudolph Mr. Huey’s Color Mist onto the numbers.

IMG_4421a

For the first page, I used this pretty Christmas Chalkboard Printable (free download found on Pinterest).

All the numbers used for the days in my December Daily album are the Magical collection 25 Days Gold Foil Chipboard Number Thickers by Studio Calico. Also, all the 3 x 4 spots in my album were punched out using the 3 x 4 Card Punch (Straight Corner) by We R Memory Keepers.

Halloween Costumes O’Fl!p Album – Additional Pages

I have a Halloween layout up on the Pebbles Blog today of the girls in their favorite costumes ever (well…at least so far…Ha!).  Of course, it’s their newest costumes that they’ll wear on Friday’s Trick-or-Treat night.  Are you really surprised that these sisters are dressing up as Anna and Elsa from the Disney Frozen movie?  Hey, I’m just trying to enjoy the fun…I overheard one of them mention a peacock costume for next year’s Halloween.  What?!  We’ll see when the time comes.  Click here to see the layout over on the Pebbles Blog!

Here on my blog today, I thought I would share both of the new pages I added to my Halloween Cotumes O’Fl!p Album using the Thirty-One collection by Pebbles.

Here is the costume page from last year’s Halloween:

Halloween Costumes O’Fl!p Album - Aurora & Mulan page

And, here is the costume page to document this year’s Halloween:

Halloween Costumes O’Fl!p Album - Anna & Elsa page

I love the way these pages turned out!  And, I love documenting all of their costumes in this album!

Hope you all have a very safe, a very fun, and a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Let’s Go Skate! Mini Album

I made a birthday mini album for my girls. Since they BOTH wanted a roller skating party, they shared a birthday party this year. It wasn’t a big deal though, because their birthdays are about a month apart. They both agreed to have the party on Caitie’s birthday in April (since her birthday was on a Saturday this year). IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! They really enjoyed it! And, we managed to get through it with very minimal injuries. So happy! I took hundreds of photos and chose my favorites for this album.

For the covers of the mini album, I chose to combine pink, aqua, and gold inspired by these pretty images found on pinterest:

clear ornament with pink, aqua, and gold glitter stripes.

Here’s the front cover (a little retro)…

The pages in this album measure 5″ x 7″. Let’s go inside!

This bitty bag pocket holds a journaling card that I used to include the friends that came to the party.

Isn’t this page awesome?! After the party, I went online and found this image of Anna and Elsa. I downloaded it to my computer desktop and printed it off as a 5″ x 7″ image to fit into my album. Then, I used colored pencils and watercolor paints to add color. I even added some Frosted Lace Stickles to Elsa’s hair and Diamond Zazz! Glitter Glue to her dress…just for fun. I added this page into the album, because it was a Frozen-themed party AND because of the next pic…

Let's Go Skate! Mini Album

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?! I totally did NOT plan it! My girls hugging just like Anna and Elsa! Love that I found that image to include in their mini. So pretty and special.

I used the new Thirty-One collection by Pebbles to make additional pages for my Halloween Cotumes O’Fl!p Album. I LOVE this album…quick and easy to put together!

Halloween Costumes O'Fl!p Album

I’ll add the costume pages from this year soon. I just have to get the costumes and take the photos. LOL! I’m excited, because this year Caitie is going to be Mulan and Payton is going to be Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). YAY! More Disney Princesses!

For now, here are the costume pages from last year’s Halloween:

Halloween Costumes O’Fl!p Album

I love the Halloween flowers that I fussy cut from the Mystical pattern paper. I love the black cats with their silver foil eyes and pink little noses. I really love that this collection is full of all the cuteness of Halloween without being too scary. I used the Countdown pattern paper but on a much smaller scale with the 6 x 6 Paper Pad. I thought combining the numbers “20” and “12” to use for my year was fun.

Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album

We have been celebrating the new summertime collection by Pebbles, Lakeside, with a whole week of projects over at the Pebbles Blog! I LOVE the new Lakeside collection! It’s everything wonderful about the summertime! That’s why I couldn’t help but make a little “prelude to our summer” mini album using Lakeside. I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait for school to end and this summer to begin. I love getting my girls back for the summer! Just seven more days and…no more school, no more homework, no more tests, etc. Woo-Hooo!
Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album
When it comes to tying bows, I’m not the greatest. So, I did the best I could to tie off some pretty bows on the side cover of my mini album.
Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album
I cannot wait to spend time at the pool with my girls. Most summer days are spent at the local pools.
Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album
We’ll be at the movies this summer. We cannot wait to see Monsters University and Despicable Me 2!
We also cannot wait to go to the Naperville Ribfest and to some local carnivals this summer.
Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album
We’ll visit the Brookfield Zoo and the Morton Arboretum this summer.
Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album
We cannot wait to spend time with friends, family, and especially the newest member of our family…Baby Cousin, Ethan! We’ll be hanging out with my sister and her kiddos a lot this summer!
Probably the best part this summer…we are going to Disney World! You know, I guess it worked out last year that we couldn’t go, because then we would have missed out on seeing the new Fantasyland. So happy we are finally going! The girls are SO excited to Dine with the Disney Princesses, see the new Fantasyland, the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and everything else that Disney has to offer. We also will head out to Universal Studios to see the World of Harry Potter. Oooo, I cannot wait! It’s going to be an amazing vacation full of memories that the girls will always remember! The best part for me…a Disney World mini album filled with our week of magic! Woo-Hooo!
Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album
We cannot wait to stay up late this summer as well as sleep in!
More waterpark fun…What could be better than having a lazy summer day on a lazy river!?
Life Was Beginning All Over Again With Summer Mini Album
We cannot wait to go out for ice cream and head out to the library for some summer reading. The girls LOVE reading! Payton is doing so great with her reading and the best part, for me, is that Caitie can read with her and help her out. Payton loves snuggling with her big sissy.
