Teacher “Thank You” Cards

As we get closer and closer to the end of another school year, I wanted to get all my Thank You cards ready for Caitie and Payton’s teachers. I used the Soho Garden collection by American Crafts to create all the cards here. Now, all the girls have to do to finish up their cards is write special messages to everyone.

These next cards are for the girls’ Art, Music, and P.E. teachers as well as other helpful and sweet teachers in their school. The fun part about these cards is that they were very quick to make, because I used the Basics 5.5″ x 8.5″ Cardmaking Pads by Pebbles. Tear, fold, and create! Love that! I love the colors (they go with anything you have) and the designs (basic and trendy) of these pads!

A Few of My Favorite Things… Layout

It’s “My Favorite Things” Theme Week over at the Pebbles Blog! And, I have to admit…this was a tough theme/assignment for me. I pretty much never do layouts about myself. I usually scrap about my girls. So, where do I start? Well, I started by asking Caitie (my 8-year-old) to take this updated photo of me and I used it as a starting point for my colors. I used lots of items from the Family Ties collection. It’s a great collection and I love the red, blues, and flowers in this line. This turned out to be a fun layout to make…still weird that it’s about me. I probably should do layouts about myself more often.

Thank You Cards

It’s Whip It Up Wednesday at the Pebbles Blog today! I made these Thank You cards for Caitie and Payton to give to a few family members. Payton received lots of gifts for her birthday and both girls received even more gifts for Easter. They had a lot of Thank You cards to write.
Thank You Cards
I kept the designs very simple in order to make them all within thirty minutes. Some of the cards were made faster than others.
Thank You Cards
I loved using the Basics Cardmaking Pads for the base of these cards, because that definitely helped speed up the process. Just tear, fold, and decorate them however you like. They are awesome!
Thank You Cards
In the end, I have a bunch of fun and cute cards that I know our family loved and appreciated. The best part was that the girls wrote their own special Thank You messages inside for them.

Still Love You Layout

It’s “Sketchy Thursday” today at the Pebbles Blog! Here is the sketch for today’s edition of “Sketchy Thursday” based on this exclusive PageMaps for Pebbles sketch by Becky Fleck:
Here is the layout I created inspired by the sketch:
Still Love You LO
This little girl LOVES her baby doll, Annie. Annie is the best interactive baby doll I’ve ever seen (I feel lots of love for her too). Payton got her as a gift from Santa back in 2008. They have made so many wonderful memories together over the years. I just had to capture it here with a few of my favorite pics. It’s a very strong love and Annie will always be a happy place for Payton. The Rainbow line from the Party With Amy Locurto collection by Pebbles is so bright and cheerful! I thought it was perfect for my special St. Patrick’s Day Baby, because Baby Annie is her pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Under The Sea Layout

We’re celebrating Party with Amy Locurto Debut Week over at the Pebbles Blog with lots of fun and inspiring projects. You can head over there and check them out. I created this layout using the Mermaid line from the Party with Amy Locurto collection. It was perfect for my under water photo of Payton. I used the “Under The Sea” card from the Mermaid pattern paper as the title for my page. It reminded me, of course, of the Disney Movies: The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. So, I surrounded my photo with pretty mermaids, adorable sea creatures, and flowers to create an underwater adventure.

I loved using the Vellum Garland and Paper Flowers on this page. I gave my mermaid a sparkling crown and pearl necklace using some glitter glue and pearl stickers.

10 Things I Love About My Sweet Girls Layout

I made this LO using items from the Just Because collection by Little Yellow Bicycle. I also used items from the new Naturals collection by Little Yellow Bicycle. A pocketful of reasons why I love my girls. I just LOVE this “10 Things I Love About” Pocket that I titled “My Sweet Girls.” The Tiny Blossoms pattern paper is probably my favorite in this collection. I cut some of the paper into 12 – half inch strips and alternated them with the white cardstock. I really wanted this paper to pop off the page. Then, I added some decorative Vellum Tape to a few of the white spaces in the stripes for some fun.

10 Things I Love About My Sweet Girls LO

For some pretty dimension, I added chalk ink to the edges of two Burlap Flowers (minus the burlap leaves) and layered them on top of the white flowers I hand cut from the Full Bloom patterned paper.

I did the same thing here and trimmed off the part of the bloom that hung off the paper…

…and added it right next to my “10 Things” Pocket.

I added chalk inks to these Canvas Alpha Stickers for another pretty ombre effect.

10 Things I Love About My Sweet Girls LO

Love the Canvas Stickers from the Naturals collection! I added a hint of color to this adorable bird sticker using colored pencils. Red Jute wrapped around this pretty silver foiled chipboard heart. I stitched it over this fun chevron striped Canvas Border that I cut up and turned into arrows.
