I Adore You Layout

I have Valentine’s Day gifts that I made for all the girls’ teachers up on the Pebbles Blog today using the We Go Together collection.

Valentine Gifts for Teachers 10

I’d like to share this layout I made using items from the new Jen Hadfield Cottage Living collection by Pebbles.  Love this new line!  How pretty is the Sunrise, Sunset pattern paper I used for my background?!  I just love its ombre pink with hexagons design.  And, Payton’s favorite colors are dark pink and light pink…so this was perfect. :D

I Adore You Layout 1

Since I don’t have a Silhouette machine :( , I decided that I could just make a heart to cut out using my computer.  It was quick and simple to do.  I like that.  I just opened the Microsoft Word 2013 program on my laptop.  I changed the PAGE LAYOUT to a 12″ x 12″ page.  INSERT a heart shape (No Shape Fill, Shape Outline set to large dashes, and Size of heart to 10″ x 10″).  Done!  Sure, I could’ve just hand-drawn a heart shape, but this is much prettier.

I Adore You Layout - Heart Template 1

I printed off my heart template on a piece of 12″ x 12″ white cardstock and cut it out.  Then, I lined it up centered on the pretty Hardwood pattern paper to cut out my heart.

I Adore You Layout - Heart Template 2

I love the pattern papers in this line and love the layering under this black and white photo of Payton.  I also love the new Jumbo Gold Paperclip.  I can never get enough of the pretty flowers and gold touches.

I Adore You Layout 2

I love the Puffy Phrase Stickers.  I used the “I adore you” Puffy Phrase Stickers for my title and a few hearts, flowers, and a “Hi” diamond shape to decorate around the page.

Message Boards

We have needed a message board (or two) next to our calendar for awhile now.  You know, a place to keep the school forms (field trip, parent-teacher conferences, book reports, and other assignments), appointment cards, grocery lists, and other reminders.  I took the new Jen Hadfield Cottage Living Hanging Chalkboard by Pebbles and an old magnetic frame and altered them a bit to function for our family.

Message-Boards-1B

I used items from the Cottage Living collection by Pebbles.  I’m in LOVE with this new line!

Message Boards 1

I started with the Hanging Chalkboard.  I covered it with chalk, erased the chalk, and wiped away any extra chalk dust.  Next, I centered my Chalkboard on my craft mat and decided that Mod Podge would be the best way for me to secure the Thickers to the Chalkboard.

Message Boards 2

I used a hot glue gun to attach my Gold Metal Clips to the Chalkboard.  Done!  Super fast and easy (about 10 minutes).  I decided to just add two clips because I wanted space on the bottom of the board in case I wanted to write a quick note with chalk.

Message Boards 3

I worked on the magnetic frame.  I trimmed the Sweet Mint pattern paper to 7.25″ x 9.25″ and simply slipped it under the edges of the frame.  No adhesive needed or used.  It’s a magnetic board.  The magnets would hold the paper in place anyway.  Right?  Plus, I thought it would be fun to switch out the paper for a new one whenever I wanted to pretty it up again.

Message Boards 6

SO PRETTY!  Love it already!

Message Boards 7

Next, I worked on three magnets for my frame.  I used my hot glue gun to attach the magnet to this PRETTY Paper Flower!  I also took two Jewel Stickers, removed the sticker part, and hot glued tiny magnets to them that I had around the house already.  Payton is my sweet little helper here.

Message Boards 4

Seriously adorable!  I love it!  Have I mentioned to you that I love refrigerator magnets?  Because, I do.  I really really do!

Message Boards 5

I added “Hello” Rub-Ons and a heat embossed “Hello” speech bubble stamp to the board.  I used my hot glue gun again to attach the Gold Metal Clips to the board.  Here you can see the pretty Jewel magnets.

Message Boards 8

Message Boards 9

It only took about 15 minutes to get this frame done!  LOVE this SO much!  Gave it new life.  Before, I used it for pics of the girls (and I loved it).

Message Boards 10

Now, it’s so much more functional for us to be able to use everyday.

Message Boards 11

Message Boards 12

Here they are on our kitchen wall (it’s next to our “Despicable Me” Minion calendar).  I LOVE these Message Boards!

They took so little time to put together.  That makes me love them even more!

Thanks for stopping by today…have a great one!

December Daily Album 2014

I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and family.  I’ve been pretty busy with the holidays, projects, and work.  But, I have returned on this last day of the 2014 year to share my December Daily album that I’ve finished.  I’m happy with the way it turned out.  Even happier that I got to do one this year.

Just a heads up…to make up for not blogging in quite awhile, this will be a long post. ;)

IMG_4420a

Yep, I used the Magical Studio Calico Handbook that I planned on using for my 2013 December Daily, BUT didn’t get it (along with a few other Christmas supplies I ordered online) until March 2014.  I guess I can laugh about it now but at the time I was pretty upset about it.  Anyway, I couldn’t wait to use it.  I was excited because it was the first time I used this format for my December Daily album and I loved it.  It made the process quicker and easier during the busy holiday season.   I really love the red with trees design all over the cover of the album.  It’s SO pretty!  For this year, I used the Home for Christmas collection by Pebbles most of the time.

In the photo above, I added a cut piece of the Home for Christmas pattern paper to the opening of the front cover. It fit perfectly as my title for this years December Daily album.

In the photo below, I added another cut piece of the Home for Christmas Home for Christmas pattern paper to the side bracket along with some wood veneer letters and numbers by Studio Calico.  I used Q-Tips to dab some white paint onto the letters and some Rudolph Mr. Huey’s Color Mist onto the numbers.

IMG_4421a

For the first page, I used this pretty Christmas Chalkboard Printable (free download found on Pinterest).

IMG_4423a

For Day 1, I used the Home for Christmas Oh Christmas Tree pattern paper, fussy cut flowers from the Christmas Cheer pattern paper, “berries and holly” Label Stickers, Candy Cane Thickers, and the “trees” Phrase & Accent Stickers.

All the numbers used for the days in my December Daily album are the Magical collection 25 Days Gold Foil Chipboard Number Thickers by Studio Calico. Also, all the 3 x 4 spots in my album were punched out using the 3 x 4 Card Punch (Straight Corner) by We R Memory Keepers.

IMG_4424a

For Day 2, I used an image found online…

IMG_4425a

Happy November!

I’m so excited that I (along with a few of my fellow Pebbles Design Team Members) had another chance to participate and submit a page sample for Becky Fleck’s November 2014 PageMaps! If you find yourself stuck-in-a-rut, you have a creative block, you’re just staring at your photos to scrap and/or you’re just staring at your scrapbook products, then head on over to PageMaps by Becky Fleck and grab yourself a sketch. There is SO much throughout her website and blog to help inspire you. There are maps for layouts, cards, tags, and SO much more!

I have a Halloween layout up on the Pebbles Blog today of the girls in their favorite costumes ever (well…at least so far…Ha!).  Of course, it’s their newest costumes that they’ll wear on Friday’s Trick-or-Treat night.  Are you really surprised that these sisters are dressing up as Anna and Elsa from the Disney Frozen movie?  Hey, I’m just trying to enjoy the fun…I overheard one of them mention a peacock costume for next year’s Halloween.  What?!  We’ll see when the time comes.  Click here to see the layout over on the Pebbles Blog!

Here on my blog today, I thought I would share both of the new pages I added to my Halloween Cotumes O’Fl!p Album using the Thirty-One collection by Pebbles.

Here is the costume page from last year’s Halloween:
